If you are a bird watcher, it is highly recommended. If you simply like to ramble, even then it is loveable, especially the gömslet. Personally, I enjoyed walking on the wooden pathway. They have documented some of the bird species found there. The toilet is large, and was clean. The kvarnberget viewpoint provides average views, can be skipped. I have been going here for 6 years and it is one of the best spots for birders and photographers or anyone who likes outdoors. Visited only once and loved it, had a wonderfull time, all frozen and covered in snow, saw a few birds, very well preserved, hoping to visit in warmer times again. I added a few pictures. Magical atmosphere and bird watching! A wonderful lake, lots of geese and cranes mid September. Nicely kept parking lots with toilets A really nice walk along the small lake. Great opportunities for bird watching! A very nice hike ! Keep in mind you need certainly around 3 hours to complete the whole tour. And good shoes ! Don't forget your binoculars to spot the birds. A winter hike when the sun is out with no snow on the ground provides its own unique experience. Loads of bird species and the was quieter with less people so made for great solo adventure. This amazingly beautiful European Life titled nature in Håbo kommun is specifically made with bird-life in mind, and it hosts both your Swedish regular everyday species as well as some rare ones. Therefore birdwatchers from all over Europe travel here to this beautiful reserve. It's a great place to visit for some calm and to get some fresh air, and of course observing the beautiful nature. Doing so is made easy by the help of multiple lookout points that are built all around the reserve. The is easily accessed by either car or bus. Parking is available at multiple points around the reserve, making it easy to get to the lookout point you want. There's about a 5 minute walk from the nearest bus stop (Svannäs) to the main parking lot. From there it's easy to get onto the about 3km footbridge that stretches all throughout the east side of the reserve. The offers mixed terrain, making it ideal for anybody who loves untouched and beautiful nature. One tip is to visit the birdwatcher's cabin that can be accessed from the footbridge. There you'll find interesting information about the and its residents, as well as a good view of the lake. The only downside is the fresh water supply. There are as far as I've been able to observe no fresh water stations around the reserve, so I would recommend if you are coming here on a hot and sunny summers day, that you bring a fair amount of water to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Welcome! Lovely nature reserve, and we saw a lot of different types of birds. The round hike was about 10km but easy walk, just very muddy in some places. Good amenities.
