Πολύ αξιόλογο μουσείο, παλιό και παρωχημένης αντίληψης, αλλά πολύ καλό, όλη η ιστορία της Κοζάνης σε ένα χώρο: φύση, γεωλογία, επαγγέλματα, άρχοντα, ιστορία, όλα! Επιβάλλεται η επίσκεψη για όποιον θέλει να γνωρίσει την Κοζάνη. Αρκετά λογική τιμή εισιτηρίου και αξιόλογο πωλητήριο. Ένα πολύ αξιόλογο Μουσείο. Η υπερπληθώρα όμως των εκθεμάτων πιέζει τον επισκέπτη. Ο χώρος της Φυσικής Ιστορίας χρειάζεται συντήρηση και ανανέωση ενώ τα ιστορικά εκθέματα, ιδίως της Νεώτερης Ιστορίας, πρελει να προβληθούν πιο ικανοποιητικά. Πολύ ενδιαφέρον, 6 θεματικοί όροφοι προς εξερεύνηση. Τον Φεβρουάριο του 2025 το εισιτήριο ήταν 3€. Η Κοζάνη έχει μεγάλη ιστορία για να ανακαλύψεις. The museum itself covers several different eras and is very inclusive but it is obvious that some kind of renewal of the showpieces is long due. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα. Οι αδυναμίες του είναι η έντονη οσμή αντισκωρικου ,οι προθήκες κάπως βρώμικες,έχει μια αίσθηση εγκατάλειψης.θα ήταν καλό να εκσυγχρονιζοταν ίσως με διαδραστικά εκθέματα.
