Definitely recommended. Ivinic restaurant in Krk was a major disappointment. The octopus, which should have been the highlight of the meal, was of poor quality—overcooked in water rather than grilled, resulting in a bland, flavorless dish with a rubbery texture. The potatoes were also a letdown, served in a massive portion, easily a kilo, and tasted like they were reheated from previous customers, lacking freshness and flavor. Overall, the experience felt like a waste of money and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. Today we tried our luck with this pizzeria - take it ahead, it was worth it 🤩🙏 I tried to make a phone reservation, unfortunately this isn't possible, not sure why. So we waited for approx 10 minutes and then we got a nice place outside. The service staff was very friendly, we didn't miss anything 🙏. Pizzas are great, perfect balance and really tasty 😋 - they come close to our top Rating pizzas overall 😉. Rump steak was good, nothing special but absolutely ok. Bratkartoffeln - well, something they struggle in Croatia 😂🫣 So basically potato cuts made like french fries 🥴. It was worth and we would go again - for Pizzas 🍕, no doubt. And of course because of the friendly staff, definitely not a given anymore. Price value, absolute fair and in a normal range i would say. Shame we couldn't make a reservation, this would give another star in the service. Thanks to the entire staff, we felt very welcome 🙏🤗. Oh forgot to mention, for families (or really hungry folks lol) they have 1 meter Pizza - yep 1 meter (sry no feet or inches.... 😂) For 14 euros you get three raw grilled calamari. If you want french fries, you have to pay an extra 4 euros. A portion of fried calamari is also 14 euros. I left half of the raw calamari (1 1/2) on the plate and the waiter didn't even ask if something was wrong. We were regular guests until this year (2024), but now we won't be back. Everything was delicious, especially steaks - Tuna And Beafsteak with truffles. This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. It has a very beautiful and romantic atmosphere, perfect for a special evening. The service is outstanding – the staff are highly professional and impressively multilingual, speaking and understanding Yugoslav languages, English, German, and Italian. The food is exquisite, with the homemade pasta being an absolute highlight – simply out of this world. All in all, I would give this restaurant a solid 10/10 We were here off-season (late september) and sat down for pizza lunch at a table outside in a sort of hidden corner around the back, because there was a nice big table in the shade. Staff was friendly and we had amazing pizza's. I'm a vegetarian and asked for the truffle pizza without the meat, which was no problem. My friends' meat pizza looked amazing and they loved it. Halfway through our lunch we suddenly discovered we were sitting next to the area where they have two little tortoises! They just got new salad while were were there and they're so cute when they eat; check them out if you visit this place After 3 years break we visited the place again, and found the local tortoises in good health, konoba developed and food still generous. We had mussels (good), squid (great) and mixed seafood (slightly salty). It’s not a fine dining, but that’s not the point: it home-like, not leaving you hungry (portions are huge) and affordable. We keep coming back for laid back, non-touristy vibe and honest food. For 3 mains with starters, drinks we paid 70 eur. Took 1/3 with us back home.
