Absolutely one the best ski resort I ever been. I lived 3 winter here and I had the best ski experience . Amazing slopes, quick cables, super Freeride area, great staff and especially the ski patrols. The town is a gem in the Alps with all the comforts. Absolutely, overwhelmingly massive. Beautiful, busy but still well worth it. I will say though, comparably to some other ski areas within Switzerland & France within an hours drive, you can find better skiing, less crowds, cheaper lift tickets, and better vibes. I really enjoyed my day at Verbier, but I got in less runs, felt more confused, and spent the most amount of time searching for the best snow than I did when comparing to Saas, Zermatt, and Cranz. My advice: spend multiple weekdays here. The place is too big to just have 1 day. You will be overwhelmed. The weekdays it will be less busy, the off piste should hopefully be considerably less skied out if there’s been some fresh snow, and you will love every moment of it. Pluuuuush. Awesome place with lots of great areas to access. Yes it’s expensive but not mental, 66chf for a day a ticket when we went in Jan. We got the train from Martigny, then the bubble from Le Châble to Verbier. Booked ski passes online and loaded them onto old ski data cards. The skiing is pretty great. Went for four days and it was a blast. Lots of options for beginners and experts alike. On the 4th day I unfortunately had a bad fall and sprained my ankle. The whole team, from Ski Patrol to the lift operators and everyone else were a huge help. They went above and beyond to get me medical attention and then back to where my lodging was. I really appreciate all of them. Visited in the middle of March 2024, a bad year in terms of snowcoverage in Alps. Verbier village is nice but it lacks the charm of other Swiss ski villages like Zermat and Saas Fee mainly because it is not car free. Skiing wise, the resort is big but at the same time very fragmented. It is not a smooth experience going from point A to B and it involves taking overcrowded gondolas. Also considering its size the resort lacks really long blue or easy red making it difficult for beginner and intermediate skiers to practise and improve their technique. The few nice blue get very busy fast. Best advise is get up early and enjoy the first in the morning before it gets too crowdy. Verbier is a dream destination for skiers and snowboarders! With diverse terrain, from beginner slopes to thrilling off-piste routes like Mont Fort, it caters to all skill levels. The town perfectly balances charm and luxury, offering cozy chalets, gourmet dining, and lively après-ski spots like Le Rouge. Friendly locals and excellent hospitality add to the experience. Easily accessible and impeccably maintained, Verbier is the ideal spot for adventure, relaxation, and stunning mountain vibes. Highly recommend! Wonderfull place to enjoy skiing with stunning views. World class ski resort located in the Swiss canton of Valais. Its two biggest strengths are the village/town itself and the extensive high altitude off-piste terrain. The village is set on a south facing slope with great views and usually lots of sunshine throughout the winter. There is an endless choice of bars, hotels, shops, and restaurants and there is always a party going on somewhere at any given night during the winter season. The crowd is mostly international with a big seasonaire community from all over the world. It's expensive even by Swiss standards. The 4 valleys ski area is massive but it really is a mission to reach the smaller resorts located further away from Verbier. Verbier itself is medium sized in terms of groomed but gigantic in terms of off-piste terrain. The pistes are mostly reds, relatively narrow and there are lots of cat tracks everywhere. All the black are not groomed and are classified as "yellow" itinerary runs, which form endless steep mogul fields. If you want to ski black pistes head over to Nendaz, Bruson and Thyon. Verbier is all about the freeride with three main lift-served peaks that give access to big and steep terrain all around them. Attelas (2700m), Mt Gele (3000m), and Mt Fort (3300). Its best to get an instructor or mountain guide to show you around. If you are a novice piste skier, or mostly ride the snowpark you might be a bit disappointed with Verbier. The snowpark itself is pretty basic and is only served by the busiest chairlift on the mountain so its hard to lap. Families and beginners should be aware that for some reason there is a complete lack of beginner slopes on the mountain and there are only two very small nursery slopes at village level which usually lack snow and could be shut early and late season. Overall despite its drawbacks Verbier is a great resort with truly epic skiing opportunities.
