Small but interesting museum with knowledgeable bilingual guides It is not easy to grasp what the people are supposed to have fone through when they take refuge here. Thus Great and interesting museum for understanding and learning the migration processes following WWII. Very well explained and entertaining. Really worth a visit. Ten thousands of documents, photos, real symbols of the refugee’s who lived in Friedland camp since the WWI and WWII, more than 4 million IDP’s went through this camp from almost all the world nationalities and religions, you can full world of informations here BTW i found in the stair-window my second city’s name ALEPPO and famous kurdish city KOBANÊ Perfect museum about the history of refugees in Germany They have lots of samples, old press articles and similar objects in display And you can arrive by reginal train from Gottingen, because it is next to the station Great historical perspective on a very relevant subject nowadays. Very good structured, interesting contents, lots of visuals and surprises. A real deep dive into the tragedy of a world war, given from perspective of german families, and families, which were living in Germany. It tells a lot about the story behind the whole place of Friedland Very interesting and it's a good experience for kids to learn about the German history. Friendly services and very welcome for tourisme. Great place with different historical things to watch and see I went here with my exchange group, and we had a very educational experience. The history of the transit camp was interesting. The only issue came when I got a very deep scrape on my arm from a sharp part of a handrail. No shade though. Would do it again.
