The mood was nice. Good service. Nice selection of cocktails. The menu has interesting options however we were disappointed by one of the dishes that a few of us ordered. Not prepared as mentioned on the menu. It was bland and not was we ordered. The rest was good. Desserts were ok. I think the glass floor showing the cellar may have to do with it. The staff was particularly friendly and pleasant. And for the first time for me in France, they volunteered to talk in English. I personally went for the set menu, which meant trying some of the house wine, which was delicious. The food itself was just what I expected. A French culinary experience with a Corsican touch. Whilst I was full by dessert, the chocolate gateau was refreshing and so smooth I couldn’t help myself. Overall, fantastic experience and very much value for money. Nice by the small creek. All items were freshly made and tasted great. Started with the fried cauliflower, then had a suckking pig haunch with vegetables and fries and ended with a fruit salad. Tonight they had a live three person guitar trio, which made the atmosphere most memorable. Service was also pretty good and the servers are able to communicate in English. Worth the drive for the zucchini blossoms alone. The staff was so friendly and helped us with recommendations and translations. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. There were two acoustic guitar players / singers which made the atmosphere even more pleasant. Try the beef carpaccio starter! It was really inventive and delicious. We enjoyed the food and especially the fish special and the heavenly desserts. Service was prompt and efficient. I would definitely go back here upon my return to Ajaccio. The brothers who own and run this place are very passionate about how this is done. About the traditional Corsican. But without being snobby about it. The dishes they serve are mainly traditional Corsican, the "cave à vin" (which you can peek into from your table through the glass window in the floor) is loaded with pretty much every Corsican wine currently produced, the home made liqueurs are with local herbs and berries. Oh, and everything was fantastic! It is not just traditional on the expense of quality, quite the contrary! The quality is extremely high, effort, knowledge and passion is put in to everything from the kitchen as well as the cellar. And the view form the outdoor seating is also very nice. Wow. Food was amazing and staff unbelievable hospitable. I loved that chef Lucas came to every table during our meal. Highly recommend! Outstanding food and service :-) we were so stunned about this that we visited it twice during our stay in the area and even have chosen it for our last day of vacation dinner.
