Restaurante Cruzeiro

Braga, Portugal Restaurant

Some dishes are clearly a challenge although made with love. Rojoẽs IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY. Fantastic restaurant, all dishes hand made, best ice cream sorbet hand made lovely local place, efficient super friendly staff and very kind owners. a half portion of roasted lamb with all the fixings was largely sufficient for me. The homemade desserts, specifically the 'pudding' was a wonderful-creamy-light-aromatic-mellow-yellow revelation 😍 Very good value for your money Delicious local food. We went twice during our stay in the village. The staff were very friendly and the portion was very generous. Delicious rojões (don’t order it if you don’t like internal organs) and steaks! We would certainly come back if we pass by the village again. Amazing traditional food of the region, off the tourist track and an authentic experience I adore this restaurant. Traditional Portuguese food, an unbeatable view, old school and kind service in an old school beautiful room. The food may not win a Michelin for inventiveness but it’s very good and traditional, homey with abundant portions. I’ve eaten here many many times and the most recent they didn’t even blink at putting together a plate for my husband who is vegan. He ate like a king. Good old Minho family tradition. Lately it seems to me that every city and restaurant I visit are somehow drifting to a globalized template, all starting to look and feel that same general cosmopolitan ethos. This one is different. This is an endangered species of restaurant, run by a local family proudly holding the ground for the traditional cuisine of Minho. I wen here last weekend with a group of friends and I had the best rojões à moda do Minho of my life. My friends told me that the codfish, veal, and lab were also superb, though the rojões only left space for me to confirm the case for the codfish.
