Fantastic for a good stroll and some very interesting ruins like one of Ireland’s oldest bridges and nearby St Finian’s Church ruin 🙂👍🏻 The Griffeen Valley runs along the river Griffeen .Reputed to be Ireland's the oldest, surviving bridge in South Dublin was opened in 1199 in Lucan. Old woodland in Vesey is most extensive along the river and contains coniferous and deciduous mature trees. Series of public open spaces are formed on over 200 acres. Wet woodland also provide the environment, habitat for protected species . There is special dog-run as well. Renovated in Griffeen Valley was officially opened in 2019 to boost children mental and physical wellbeing. Beautiful for a walk. Has a river and wooded areas with with wildlife. There's a good dog run and children's play area. Lots of nice bridges too which make it quite picturesque. I had a wonderful time at Griffeen last weekend. The is very spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of facilities and activities for all ages. I enjoyed walking along the river, admiring the scenery and the wildlife. I also visited the historic King John’s Bridge, which is said to be the oldest bridge in Ireland. It was fascinating to learn about its history and significance. The also has a large playground, a sports centre, tennis courts, and a picnic area. It's also a great place for dogs There is something for everyone, whether you want to relax, exercise, or have fun. The is very accessible, with free parking and public transport nearby. The streams around this park, tall trees and schrubs attracts all types of birds. This is about 4 large parks put together with long walkways and plenty green spaces. Excellent with walking tracks, small stream flowing in the midst. Trees and bushes of various kinds. Several entry exit points to suit your route Just lovely. So big and spacious. There is a skate for skateboards, bicycles, scooters. All ages. Just remember helmets 😊 lovely big green area for picnics and playing ball. The most beautiful with sandpit and many many different slides and things to do. Lovely walks too outside of the playground. can definitely make a day of it! Beautiful for a nice walk also has a nice size my kids love going to it, also the aura gym has opened right next to the inside the centre there is a coffee shop, so kids can have fun in the parents can treat themselves to a coffee A beautiful with what’s believed to be Ireland’s oldest bridge. It's a nice place with lots of play areas for all age children. My kids had alot of fun and enjoyed their time in the park.
