Use to come here ages ago. It's still a great location. Pool table, good music and a variety of all kind of beers. Well worth a visit! A great cafe cum bar near the main square of Texel. The owners are very humble and nice. Excellent beer-bar, lovely assortment of both local, domestic and international beers. Knowledgeable staff, and reasonably priced. If you are a tourist, do not go here. They tried to scam us with the price without giving receipt. When found out, the manager tried to power-trip with checking IDs and did not accept European IDs saying it's not Dutch. Proper pub loads of different shots. Came here and felt not comfortable really.. wish there was some other bars open! They don't clean glasses with soap or anything... There is a sink full of water probably from full evening. Wierd customers with their local jokes, doesn't make atmosphere nice.. If you're on texel make sure to visit de Slock. The high beer 🍺 is an excellent value, and free soup 2nd Saturday of the month. Will definitely be back! We were there on Friday...the beer collection is awesome. The DJ did a great job and I met a few nice People, especially Judica. Thanks :) Discovering this bar was one of the best parts of our holiday. The atmosphere is incredible, it is full of people living in the area (good signal), the attention is lovely, and if you love beers, you have more than 100 varieties to taste. I recommend it 100%, and I assure you that I will come back whenever I can.
