The Irish Cottage

Alkmaar, Netherlands Irish restaurant

One of the Best Places To Visits in Oude Niedorp Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Friendly and cheerful staff. Eye for detail, when we ordered just one piece of carrot cake but we were served two forks. Parking is possible in front of the establishment. Highly recommended for a cuppa coffee and/or cake. Next time we will try dinner or lunch. Good food! And a great place to relax and have a drink. And the have a lot of drinks. A big collection of beers and whiskey to choose from. The location is a bit hard to find but worth the visit! I loved the vibe and the atmosphere of this pub, has a nice old school Irish vibe to it and the food is really good, would highly recommend going here for a great pub visit for some 'pub grub' Moved here recently after I living in Ireland for the past 4 years, and this place brought back some nice memories. The menu offers around 10 starters and 8 mains as well as a degustation menu - the options are creative but keep the cottage vibes with typical Irish dishes. I went with the fried brie for starters and had the duck after - while I'm confident I could've chosen the local lamb or filet of Irish beef and would have been just as happy! The service has been very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming. Great overall experience. I would absolutely recommend 👌🏾 Went here for a birthday lunch. Six of us ordered the special of the week(which costs €27 per meal. We were told it was a guinea fowl wellington. When the food was brought to the table the waiter told us they didn't have the pastry batter so they made us chicken legs with chips and gave it to us. At this point they had the food in their hand, other were people were being given their food and we had been sat waiting for an hour and we're hungry. We accepted the food. We were still hungry after eating The tiny portion of food we were given. The meal also took a hour to arrive to our table and including the dessert we where sitting there from 1 to 4. After talking to the owner we were given the desserts for free, but he made it clear he was not happy with that. The atmosphere of the pub was ok and cosey, but not good enough to improve the experience. Lovely little cottage pub food was amazing. Staff very friendly. Very nice family restaurant, good food, not pricey. Also, they're very welcoming to kids :). Service can be a bit better when busy... Had a lovely lunch here, highly recommend the Steak Sandwich! The owner was also very sweet and shared the history of the building with us. I would come back again Beautiful building with lots of character. Service was excellent by the lady who served us who I believe was the owner. Food was served quite quickly and was first class. Prices also were good value. We will be going back before we go back to the UK 👍 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
