Daca nu ai planificata o drumeție si vrei doar sa faci mișcare se merita sa mergi. Totul e doar comercial. Mare atenție la persoanele ce oferă de mâncare contra cost la Fundatura Ponorului, eu am cerut si plătit brânză de oaie si am primit brânză de vaca foarte sărată la preț de oaie. O mizerie de brânză. Te mint cu produsele lor tradiționale, locale si sănătoase. Doar sa te facă, sa scoți banii. Păcat ca aceste persoane strica zona si asa nu e ceva de basm cum e descrisă de alte persoane. Poți vedea ceva mult mai frumos in alta parte lejer. Te mint cum cara turiștii produsele cumpărate de la ei cu galetile pana la mașină. Personal va spun ca la un moment, abia te mai cari pe tine prin arșița soarelui si cu terenul plin de pietre, la trebuie sa fii atent sa nu-ți fuga piciorul. Drumul nu e marcat, acolo ajunge si Via Transilvanica, majoritatea îl folosesc pe acesta, dar mai exista si drumul prin sat. Din cauza persoanelor ce fac comerț la preț foarte mare, ilegal si in condiții insalubre (gasesti mizerie in mancare, poate asa e traditional), zona nu merita vizitată ca nu vezi ceva spectaculos, asa cum vei citi in alte părți. Într-adevăr ai priveliștea pe o ai si de la mașină către masivul Retezat, in rest.... va las sa găsiți voi altceva si sa comentați. Cine a descris acest loc ca palma lui Dumnezeu, a vrut doar sa atragă cât mai multe persoane in zona, știind ca zona nu are ce oferi. Atenție mare la caini, ii lasă liberi si sunt foarte agresivi, au mușcat un străin. Nu prea e semnal la telefon, nu are cine sa te ajute. FundaturaPonorului,o așezare pastorală de o frumusețe rară cu peisaje de poveste,locul numit „Palma lui Dumnezeu”aflat în Munții Șureanu. Cale acces:din DN E79 ce face legătura între Hațeg și Petrosani,în comuna Pui urmați drumul spre sat Ponor(aprox.6.5km de la șoseaua principală).Drumul este asfaltat și se poate parcurge cu orice mașină)De aici urmați pe jos traseul comun cu Via Transilvanica încă 5 km. So you've decided to trekk/hike to this amazing place. You are in luck as I am about to (hopefully) shed some light on the right route to take and not get "lost". First you can visit viatransilvanicadotcom as they have made a marked trail that leads there, but just in case you forget to visit their site, or the information there is "harder" to understand I'm gonna leave a few pictures and directions on how to use their trail. First you need to get to the village of Federi, once there, proceed to the end of the village on the paved road, at the end you are going to start seeing some makeshift wooden car garages, don't stop there, continue on the paved until it ends (see picture with parked cars for reference). Once parked (make sure to not block the or people's "garage" you have to go on foot and have 2 options. Follow the "dirt road" all the way to Fundatura Ponorului (about 14k) or follow the ViaTransilvanica marked trek/hike. The following directions are for the ViaTransilvanica marked trek/hike: From the parking spot, follow the "dirt road" for a while until you reach a Info. billboard that will also have an arrow close to it that says (Fundatura Ponorului), this is where you will enter the forest and follow the ViaTransilvanica markers (they consist of a orange T in an orange circle on a white circled background and/or a orange stick figure with a backpack), these markers are visible every couple of dosen meters. IF BY ANY CHANCE YOU CAN'T SEE ANYMORE MARKERS ON TREES OR STONES FOR MORE THEN 10 MINUTES, TURN BACK TO THE LAST MARKER AND REROUTE. Continue following the makers thru the forest for a good while (continues uphill hike for at least 1H). Along the way you should encounter either info. billboards and/or stone mile markers (custom made to reflect local legends etc.) Once the uphill struggle ends you will briefly exit the forest just to enter a pine forest next (downhill from here) for about 20 minutes. After this whole ordeal is over Fundatura Ponorului in all it's glory should open up right in front of you. IMPORTANT THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND: Make noise on the trail to make sure no animals get close to you. There isn't any huge risk of anything but better safe then sorry. Have a bag to collect garbage from snacks or drinks you take with you. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, because unfortunately some people make a mess. It's not flat so prepare yourself for a bit of uphill walking. The scenery is beautiful, during the and of course at the end. Idyllic landscape with grazing cows, horses or sheep. A meandring river and some picturesque boulders. We did the with a 4 year old, who walked about 50% of the and the rest was carried. For older kids it is a much easier trail, I'm sure. It is a wonderfull place for hiking. You need mountain equipment. In Autumn tends to be muddy. The trail is considered medium difficulty for people that are usually hiking. Din păcate nu am reușit să ajungem la fundătură,drumul era accesibil mașinilor cu gardă înaltă iar drumeție nu ne încadram in timp (am ajuns acolo la ora amiezii).Dar a rămas pe lista locurilor de vizitat! Foarte frumos, merită vizitat Fundătura Ponorului este un loc deosebit, ideal iubitorii de natură și liniște. Peisajul este spectaculos, cu pășuni verzi, munți te înconjoară și un aer curat și răcoros. Râurile curg prin zonă și vacuțele pasc în libertate contribuie la farmecul acestui loc. Este un loc perfect o drumeție relaxantă, departe de agitația cotidiană, oferind o atmosferă autentică și liniștită. Recomand cu căldură această destinație o evadare în natură! Nu degeaba , acest colt de rai se numeste...Palma lui Dumnezeu...Am impresia , de fapt sunt sigur ca Dumnezeu , dupa ce a creat omul si Pamantul , la Fundătura Ponor s_a odihnit prima data....Este un loc Dumnezeiesc , binecuvântat de puterea cereasca unde trebuie sa pasesti discret , sa nu deranjezi natura , unde trebuie sa vorbesti in șoaptă a nu deranja firul de iarba , unde trebuie sa saruti pamantul pt ca ai avut onoarea si privilegii de a ajunge acolo , unde localnicii nu trebuie deranjati pt ca sunt minunatii oameni au oprit timpul in loc , au conservat natura si au respectat_o cu sfințenie , traind intr_ o perfecta simbioză cu aceasta.Tot respectul pt acesti oameni , tot timpul cu credinta in Dzeu , au dus peste secole acest tărâm de basm ca si noi sa ne putem bucura ca Dzeu ne tine in palma lui..Ma inchin si ma înclin , cu respect in fata lui Dzeu...si in fata oamenilor au rezistat si vor dăinui vesnic in mintea si sufletul meu.Respect Fundatura Ponor , respect acest diamant rar....!
