Beautiful building, restored, with a courtyard which has exhibits. Seems very attractive! When we got to the door, it was closed with a sign that gave no reason. Just closed. Not cool at all, i wanted to see that 13-15 June exhibition! Renovated, Interesting. Great reminder of the fading 150 years of coal-mining in the Jiu Valley. Also home for a collection of mountain-sports and tourism related memorabilia gathered by local enthusiasts. Recently renewed and rearranged. We were very impressed by this museum. To be honest we actually got here because it rained outside and we wanted to stall time to get to the Banitei canion. We liked it very much, the lady there was very kind and helpful. The museum felt very well maintained and has a good amount of gear from the mines as well as information from their history. I think it is a good lesson about that place and that particular industry. Kind guide, well maintained and with a slightly immersive experience when visiting the basement, we highly recommend you visit this museum if you find yourself wondering the streets of this nicely conserved and beautiful communist gem of a town such a quaint place - do stop by if you are in the area. 10lei a ticket for adults, helpful and welcoming staff. upstairs it includes 2 additional expositions - overall a great experience O experiență plăcută. Un muzeu clasic despre minerit. La mansardă cate ceva despre momârlani. Foarte bine amenajat muzeul, informațiile structurate bine, personal foarte drăguț. Recomand! Very friendly and helpful staff, recently renovated building. Great place to visit, showing files of local/Ro history and how the people lived and worked around the local charcoal mines. At the last floor is a wonderful time capsule of early begging and old fashion equipment of mountain sports. Definitely it will be a nice experience for kids as well. O experiență care te marchează când vezi o părticică prin care au trecut minerii Nice too see if you are în this town Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
