A place not everyone would be able to reach due to the long distance from the main towns as well as the steep roads that lead towards it, Oaşa is a stunning place where you can spend a day or two. The is situated deep into the forests (that sadly we discovered to be heavily deforested by the local authorities) and a beautiful lake. The monastic community is made up of relatively young people who are really friendly if you wish to stay or find out more about their way of life. Strongly recommended. Quiet, different from any I've been to, amazing brick work, stunning location by a large lake surrounded by forests, ample parking, I definetly recommend a visit any time of the year you can.
