I love the current exhibition of posters by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901), which have come to symbolize the Belle Epoque. The only disappointment was the absence of any by the namesake Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947). Very interesting architecture in both cases the old part is very interesting, and the new addition is very interesting, and the new . We had lovely time. Great museum, small but worth it! Small but nice collection, good ambiance Quite disappointed, the current exhibition has about 40-50 by like 10 (!) different artists which fail to "paint" as a complete picture. Museums usually have permanent exhibitions and temporary ones and this one only has a temporary one so you can imagine our disappointment to visit a Bonnard with only 3 or 4 by him. No English text, only interesting part was the film about Bonnard in the end but this was only in French. Please add atleast English subtitles to it for your international visitors. I don't recommend visiting during the current exhibition until November. Small museum. About 15 paintings. Nice for an hour. Parking very difficult. Delightful museum, well worth a visit. Four stars only because the explanatory panels are only in french, the exposition is interesting and valuable but the film shown about it is again only in French with no English subtitles, a little bit too long and soporific. Very friendly and informative museum. 50 mins film on Bonnard’s life and work so plan accordingly. You cannot visit with a dog but you can wait downstairs , inside with your dog and the staff are very friendly and got some water. Much appreciated in the summer Really love this museum. Must be my 4th or 5th visit. The only downside is that there aren't that many on view so the visits are quite short. There could be more...in my opinion. But a very pleasant building. Small but pleasant gallery which while it includes a small number of Bonnard’s paintings, has an equal focus on his lesser known contemporaries.
