My kids absolutely loved this park, there is lots to do. I loved the interactive game and the things in the that made sounds. It was very clean and even on a very hot day it wasnt too busy, we will definitely be back. Brilliant but even better now because the incredible Easter Funfair is in Town and all set up here for 17 days. Always a bonus and all rides only £2 each no cons. Anchorsholme in the sunshine with a funfair on just can't be beaten! Great dog with a cafe. Possible to free around the back. Large with a coffee shop and playground for children Bowling green and open areas. Just across from the beach.. popular and busy, but good. A good place for to with a lot of variety. Very well organised with padded/soft floors to lessen impact/injury in case there is a fall. There's a café on site although the place closes at 3pm. A variety of meals and iced cream are available. Be ready to spend 3 to 4 hours at the park. My little boy needed to let off some steam, it's a fab for a mixed age range. Has toilets and cafe as well as tennis courts so not just a park. Plenty of green for ball games too though not completely fenced off from surrounding roads. Lack of free parking around though so either pay and display on the prom or small from main road. (Would advise against parking in Lidl and surrounding roads as local traffic wardens are ruthless) Great place for the kids plenty of things to on. You get a few teenagers who hang around in the evening being a bit mischievous. But not many places they can hang out, so not all their fault, just bored I guess! A great accommodating a wide range of children. Very well thought out activities, in a wide allows of all ages to enjoy the age appropriate apparatus. Highly recommended Great for the kids The Needs some maintenance in the playground and treat weed. The ground is and small therefore busy. Short to the beach Great by the sea. Good place for sea fishing I used to love walking my Border Collie and Pomeranian through the park. As my Border was aging, sometimes a couple of circuits around it would be just enough for him and really helpful not to have to far at all to get back to my car...which is good for me too, due to my disability. Other times, I would through and cross to the promenade for a short along there. Sadly, Ben passed away 4 weeks ago..but I have happy memories of us walking in the park. I have been back once with my Pomeranian...obviously it was emotional but because I like the I had to do it as my Pomeranian will still enjoy times there. Great park! Lots to do for different ages. Gets muddy though around the grassed area. (Hence the 4 stars) my grandboy loves the big boat and the zip wire. playground for young kids. The fairly bland grassy is situated beside the seaside but the cafe, and all that it is, is down in a hollow with no sea views. Missed opportunity. The has a very spacious - plenty of room for to play, to dogs under control, just laze on the grass or visit the café where the friendly, welcoming Staff will look after you Being close to the Promenade & sea it offers a pleasant alternative to the coastline views It’s good to have choice especially one that suits many needs - and is free! A clean and well equipped , not far from the tram and close to the beach too ANCHORSHOLME HAS IT ALL There’s lots of volunteers that work very hard for free in the park, especially both of the “Paul’s” to keep it so tidy and colourful. It’s a great place for responsible dog walkers and their dogs plus for to in the safe enclosed area. There’s also a tennis court football court and basketball court for those with the energy and after using all that energy up go in the lovely Cafe for a snack or meal. Finally after all that as your leaving the call in for a game of bowls or why not try boules - (there’s a much posher word to describe that but I’m not a good speller especially in French). There’s bands on and other entertainments like a fairground and stalls in summer. So plenty of to do for the young and old, you may even see our cocker spaniel and war hero !!
