The side restaurant was lovely. There are 3 piers. Best part the tower, the joke floor, the view of the sea. Shops aren't that friendly. Car park isn't expensive. The main strip. Rides, attractions, arcades, food, and drink. You either like Blackpool or despise it! Despite difficulties and perhaps the lack of jobs and investment, Blackpool is still a charming place to visit. There’s lot to see and enjoy especially when the weather is good. The illuminations at night is pretty impressive. Great place to watch the world go by! Busy day, apparently there was a firework display later on in the day, quick down the of people living in the moment, taking selfies, eating ice-cream, high tide so everyone was forced onto the promenade, brilliant Nice long it goes for miles. We were lucky as the weather was nice and we enjoyed going from Pleasure all the way to the Metropole. It is very well maintained clean and multi users friendly. Walkers, bikes, wheelchairs, pushchairs... Visited at the start of half term. Even though there are restrictions there were still of visitors. The lights never seem as as they did when you were a kid lol. It was only the fact we were staying over that made the visit worthwhile. Benidorm of England. For young and old it never gets bord . Lovely to along the if you keep going you can in to Cleveleys it's a buitefull As a local I love walking along here early in the morning before the hustle and bustle starts. When the tide is in and the sea laps up against the seawall the sound is soon relaxing but when the tide is out the vast expanse of empty is awe inspiring. On busy weekends it is great to just around and people watch, great to see people enjoying themselves on a day out at the seaside. Credit must go to Blackpool Council for the work they do to keep things clean during busy periods, I often see the cleaners at work on my early morning walks. I love Blackpool. Dirty nappies on the floor rotten tables smell of sewerage everywhere. What hell hole. I used to come here in 80s and was better. Over priced disgusting burger bars . Shocking Blackpool has been modernised over the last decade to 15 years making it look much nicer. The shops are mainly run down, but there are a few nicely presented shops. The horse and carriage rides are still a staple of the promenade, and we actually rode one today to the south pier (cost us £20 which was not unreasonable). It's still quintessentially Blackpool with games, shops and food stands though, which I find quite charming. The tower end of the has lots of popular attractions like madame tussauds, the gruffalo experience, the Peter rabbit experience, the tower itself, the dungeons and the sea life centre. All can be quite expensive, but check out things like Groupon, Wowcher, the blue light card and the kids pass for discounts (the gruffalo experience and sea life centre are currently on the kids pass app for example for 15% off). The other end of the is Blackpool pleasure beach. After coming to Blackpool for most of my life (I'm now 38) Blackpool pleasure has always been a favourite place to visit. Now, we avoid the pleasure as it is grossly overpriced. It is £20 alone to get in without rides pass! Once a blooming full city of joy for all ages now derelict and over run with crack addicts the city needs a lot of money pumping into it to save such an iconic british holiday/day out attraction sea side resort shame its become what it is Great place to have fun for a couple of hours Went to Blackpool for a day trip and how the mighty have fallen, absolutely nothing like it used to be. There are more chip shops than you can count that have extortionate prices, we had battered sausage with chips and gravey and that came to £17.00 and it was only a small portion of a meal. The hotels most off them that looked like derelict buildings looked awful. As for something to do there are amusement if you are into them, other than that there's just eating and drinking. There were horses pulling carriages all day but the horses looked thin and awful and one of them you could see was lame and yet being made to work. The worst is the amount of druggies you see out of their faces on whatever they take and it's not a pleasant sight at all. If it was not for the air display we would have been bored silly. I won't be visiting again. Sunny but the wind was just a little cold for me It’s a place even though it rained a lot I went to see the circus and spent of time In the arcades lots of souvenirs to do if you take any tram ride I would advise to get a weekly ticket which does cost £22 but it will save you money especially if you go on many trams while you are in Blackpool at least with the weekly ticket last all day for 7 days of entertainment for all the family young to old very friendly people and of places to eat I recommend the vegas of the north to anyone Very noisy carnival. If this is your sort of thing you’ll love it. Me, not so much. Me and my husband come to Blackpool every year when we come we love walking around all the shops and piers there is always something to buy Blackpool as everything Sunny day and evening in Blackpool It was a first time visit and even though it was wet and windy I just loved it If you travel to Blackpool to see the Illuminations, Don't think that they are going to be like anything in times past... As, they are nothing compared to what they once were.
