Nice venue although looks a little shabby on the outside, weeds growing around the grounds. More attention to detail required outside. Only went into the bouldering and rock area, very busy. Polite and friendly staff. Chill out area in the middle to recharge before again. Thus room is well worth a visit. There is a gym and swimming as far as I'm aware but cannot confirm this. Great leisure centre with a size swimming and updated facilities. Well kept and the members are friendly and helpful. Brilliant place. pool, brilliant facilities. It may be tucked away in a rough arse part of Preston, but it's a great centre. Can cut through Morrisons on Blackpool Road too now which is handy. Also has parking for space hoppers. Don't be deceived by the outside which could do with some love. Rock are brilliant. Kid friendly, member was excellent. If I was local we would definitely be regulars. Used to be good. Their membership allowed me to book one badminton court a day. However, new rules is one court a week which is a joke. So can anyone tell me why you DON'T have to pay for the car park at this leisure centre but at Fulwood you DO! could it be that Fulwood is an affluent part of Preston! Just got a PNC fine from Fulwood, this is a awful company that run these facilities. West view is dirty there is no baby anymore the main is bloody freezing the are useless, if you arrive early for your "slot"you have to wait and if you got little kids thats not good. So I have had two bad experiences now. I will never use these pools again total rubbish. Nice big gym with various types of equipment. Swimming time really cold my daughter was shivering. Really bad in the changing rooms the amount of times my mum and myself nearly slipped was unreal. There's no aunti slip mats in the wet rooms so when people have a body wash the soap is on thr floor making even more slippery. The floor is like slate so really slippery when wet they need anti slip mats to help with grip when walking Great facility with loads of modern equipment, water dispensers, soft play, rock climbing, helpful and state of the art gym. Ample parking makes it very accessible. Removed the baby so deprived my kids of same opportunity I had to learn to swim. It’s a joke we’ve handed control over here to pure profit. No chance now for babies to learn in a warm safe environment. This was one of the best baby pools to learn in within the city. Preston should be able to afford a small heated square for babies to learn. It's a great place to visit. Relaxing and peaceful. Helpful staff. The wall is amazing! is fine and changing rooms are clean with hairdryers. I also like the fact that there's a sauna and steam room on the side! Extra treat after your swim. gets busy on a Sunday morning with lessons taking up nearly half the pool. I love going here. I do gym/swim. They also have a sauna/ steam room. That you can go into when you have had a swim. Or even if you haven't Paid for a student membership and submitted university enrolment as proof. Better rejected the enrolment as proof and have cancelled my membership without a refund. Despite being a legitimate student and having paid for at least a months membership, I am unable to use the facilities? This is very strange and no way to contact the leisure centre directly. Just joined and amenities are all right, but the shower is not that clean at all, a big build up of limescale and dirt on shower heads, even though they have a promise poster on the wall, that they'll keep up with that. Pretty nice and helpful team tho! The are very nice but the is cold and with all the kids messing around you didn't have much room to swim because there is too meany kids but 1 life gard you had a lad who was spitting in the and when I told them they just said ill keep on eye out theas all what they said but the and needs a bit of TLC not the best Very lovely and fulfilled place. Very neat Best centre for miles and miles 😁 I went to swimming with my kids and it was just awful. The chlorine was way too much and on top of that on winter time the showers were cold water. They don’t have warm water at all. And when I reached home my son starts complaining of pain and with urge of going to toilet to many times to urinate. And that small of chlorine it was so strong on my skin…. And I can say that it’s second time when I went there. First time was last year and the problem with the shower was exactly the same. Bad managemnet…. Friendly and nice facilities. Although there was a shower cubicle without a lock and the water in the is a bit salty. Other than that it's very nice Been here a few times now to do the wall (autobelay) and the bouldering. are always polite and helpful, can hire equipment if needed like a harness and shoes and the prices are good. I've even recommended here to a few of my friends now, such a place!
