Nice art gallery right on the station. It was showing an exhibition of photos when I visited. Free entry, toilets, space to sit and stare. You can even buy a ticket at the desk in the foyer. This was my favourite place to visit during my time in Latvia. The current exhibition was created by an art collective with additions by members of the public, essentially anyone can contribute. I was confused somewhat by the fact that there is still a ticket office at the front, and public toilets at the back, but in-between there is chaotic art. I like it. A phenomenal artistic space, in a station, this is an inspiring and brilliant gallery space within a very stylish station, that is functional and serves the wonderful beach nearby. Wonderful relic from the Soviet past Amazing which is also a well made exhibition hall. The shows there are usually more on the contemporary side and very good quality. The exterior is left from the old design, but inside everything is new and easily available for everyone. I must say, this is my favourite around. Really lovely with art exhibition inside. The place has really changed in recent years: they renovated the building and made an exhibition hall out of the place that looked more than doomed.
