Intrând în curtea casei țărănești găzduiește muzeul ne-a întâmpinat chiar creatorul acestuia, domnul Szőcs Lajos. În curte putem vedea o mulțime de pietre modelate natural, sute de indicatoare orientate spre localitățile de unde au venit vizitatorii, un foișor acoperit cu o pălărie de 5 m diametru, un magazin de cadouri specifice, o terasă în poate fi probată o pălărie de paie având 2 m diametru și un atelier tabără de creație. Muzeul propriu-zis este adăpostit de o veche casă tradițională. Prima cameră, sau tinda casei este decorată cu obiecte confecționate din paie, de o uimitoare frumusețe, complexitate, ingeniozitate și diversitate. Astfel putem vedea obiecte decorative de Crăciun, altele cu simbolistică religioasă, diverse suporturi, tablouri, mărțișoare, genți și poșete, mileuri, învelitori pentru sticle și multe altele. Camera din dreapta ne prezintă istoricul local și tehnologia acestei arte-meșteșug. Camera din stânga conține o colecție impresionantă de pălării de paie din toată țara. Multe dintre acestea ascund adevărate povești pot spune despre naționalitatea, ocupația, vârsta sau bogăția purtătorului. Unele sunt purtate doar în anumite momente, la înmormântări, biserică, petreceri, nuntă etc. sau au o destinație aparte, de exemplu ”pălăria miresei” pe fata o coase manual pentru viitorul său soț. As soon as you enter the gate you hear nice music in the background. The area is picturesque and it offers a glimpse into the past and to the work people were doing. There is no entrance fee to the but donations are welcomed. You can admire the rocks from the river that have a lot of interesting shapes too. You can admire a multitude of hats and there is even a small souvenir shop, although it doesn’t have a lot of things, many hats are not for sale. You can buy cheap but so pretty things handmade. I recommend this place! Nice place where you can learn a lot regarding the type of HAT made and used in Romanian regions. You can lear lot of intresting stuff, also regaring the manufaturing of hats. There is no access fee, but a donation for the is always welcome, especialy that there is one guid that will acompany you around, tell you the story of each hat, manufacturing techniques and other intresting facts. Cute experience if you are in the area! :) If no one is there, you need to go to the bar which is across the bridge and tell them you want to visit the museum, they will call a guide.
