What a brilliant place this is, parking and entry with of local history, there is a Museum, Pavilion, walled gardens and plenty of benches to picnic on ohh and one other thing is that they have set up a really decent children’s play area. Fantastic. Lovely place to visit, for too, with incredibly friendly staff, a quite nice gift shops, and set in some lovely grounds. There's a on site and a playground, with of history to see. It was great, and fantastic that it was of charge. Well behaved dogs were welcome inside, and we enjoyed a pleasant half an hour looking at all the art pictures and sculptures. Some were very creative. The grounds are always lovely, as is the house. The owl centre in the grounds is also well worth a visit. Kirkleatham Park is a for families. Good playpark for all ages, with several climbing frames for older kids. The Owl Centre hosts a wide variety of birds and animals, including emus and meerkats. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved it. Cafe, shop and a (free) all add to the visit. Lovely to see all the birds and other animals well cared for the bird sanctuary is well thought out and all the birds look healthy cages are adapted to their needs. It's set in a woodland with trees. It is worth every penny to i certainly would like to come back again The host of scream factory, which in my opinion is far superior than psychopath. The scare actors are outstanding, only issue is the price of the food and drinks but we didn't come for that so wasn't an issue. Lovely place. The is educational and focuses on local history. There’s a short woodland walk which is accessible all year round. The walled garden is the only attraction that charges.
