It's open for visitors (for free) until 7 p.m. There's a spacious parking area outside the convent and both the parking and the convent are wheelchair accessible. The convent is situated near Danilovgrad and it's 17km away from the Ostrog Monastery. Ždrebaonik is a women's (convent) where, since 1920, the relics of the second Serbian Archbishop Arsenije Sremac, the successor of Saint Sava, as well as part of the relics of the Holy Martyr Fevronia, have been preserved. The holy relics were taken away from the of Dožlica for years and kept in Kuči, in the house of priest Spah Popović. In 1856, the Grand Duke Mirko of Montenegro ordered that the relics be given to the Bjelopavlići and transferred to the Ždrebaonik monastery. They remained there until 1884, when they were taken to the Kosierovo by order of Prince Nikola. Only after the First World War were they returned to Ždrebaonik. Недалеко от Даниловграда по дороге на Острог есть удивительное место – Женский монастырь «Ждребаоник»/ Manastir Ždrebaonik (от старославянского «ždrebije» значит «церковное имение»). Мы заезжали сюда в январе 2025 г. Здесь удивительная тишина и светлый покой, время будто останавливается, суета отступает… Вокруг ухоженная территория, клумбы и даже пасека за забором. В старинных документах, найденных русским учёным Егором Ковалевским, есть упоминания, что монастырь появился еще в XIII веке в период правления короля Стефана Неманича. На территории монастыря есть небольшая церковь Св. Архангела Михаила, построенная в 1818 г., а в 1926 г. рядом с ней появилась колокольня. Здесь покоятся мощи святителя Арсения Сремаца, второго сербского архиепископа, преемника Св. Саввы. Когда-то на месте этого храма стояла первая «ангельская белая церковь», не сохранившаяся до наших дней. Миниатюра той церкви стоит рядом с монастырём. Если приедете сюда, не пожалеете точно!
