Very beautiful and unique monastery. The Fenek is a Serbian Orthodox monastery. According to the legend it was founded by Despot Stefan and Angelina Branković in the late 15th century. The earliest historical records date back to the 1563. This place was destroyed by invaders many times during our history and always reconstructed (it survived almost total demolition in the 1940s). Today it is a men's monastery. I advise you to go there by car. Parking is huge and free. Prelep manastir! Došli smo za vreme službe. Bilo je prisutno 20tak ljudi u vr' glave... Ja sam krštena i nikada nisam išla na Bogosluženje. Fenek is a peaceful and beautiful retreat located just outside Belgrade. Nestled in nature, it offers a serene atmosphere perfect for reflection and spiritual renewal. The is rich in history and tradition, with a quiet charm that invites visitors to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The monks here are welcoming and kind, offering insight into the monastery’s history and its deep spiritual significance. Whether you’re seeking a moment of solitude, a place to meditate, or a chance to experience the beauty of Serbian monastic life, Fenek is the perfect spot. A truly calming and restorative place that’s worth a visit for anyone in need of peace and spiritual connection. Fantastic with long history. Producing excellent bio Apple juice, pear brandy and various vines. In a word, unique experience with excellent people having their own vegetable garden, vineyard and fruit trees. Monastery is managed by 6 male fathers very helpful to help you with whatever request you may have. This is a very interesting near Belgrade. I recommend this place for family visit's and tourist's. So much peace and love from God in one place 🤍 Slava Bogu! 🩷 Very peaceful and quiet, friendly and helpful people, well worth the bus rides from the city but walk from Jakovo Celik bus stop… don’t follow maps! Great orthodox church near Jakovo. Very nice countryside. One of the few monesteries in Belgrade city range, where you can enjoy architecture, feel peaceful in praying and relaxoutside in beautiful scenery.... They produce their own wine and have holy lunch after liturgy every Sunday. Fenek is a very pieceful, spiritual place, disconnected from the troubles of the world, it is a place of harmony and inner piece.
