Great pizza and a great spot in Oloron Ste Marie. Hopefully going to move in the area and this place will be a regular haunt. Place Is Cosy, service Good and pizzas are ok. However, they should improve cooking cos mine was a bit burnt on sides. Overall, it is well worth stopping by Great pizzas, as good as ones in Florence Italy. We sat and waited quite literally 20 minutes before the waiter came by. To be fair, he was alone with at least a dozen tables and he was slammed. However, as a paying customer, I expect to be attended to quicker than that. Sadly, he did not seem to care much about my disappointment, or the visible disappointment of other customers. Aside from the service, the food is borderline comical. The place seems to claim some Italian heritage, but let’s be serious. The pizzas are comparable to frozen pizzas you buy at the grocery store, and the pastas are much farther away from the roughly 1000km separating Oloron from Italy. More like 100,000km, if I am honest. Having said the above, it looks like the locals enjoy the place, and if this is what they like, all the power to them. I would not eat there again. The hotel we are stopping at recommended this place. The food and service were amazing. Very reasonably priced. I had the Roquefort salad and my friend had pizza. We were too full for dessert. Would definitely come here again. On our way to Lescun, we tried this joint. Very nice surprise. One of the tastiest duck tagliatelles, did I eat. Large choices of pizza. Warm and welcome. Highly recommended. We shared a vegan pizza and the Roquefort salad. Both were very fresh and delicious. Very friendly service and clean bathroom. For the dessert we had the Profiteroles - amazing! My daughter and I were in Oloron-Sainte-Marie on Tuesday and Wednesday to watch the Tour de France. The Patati & Patata was one of the few restaurants open in town at dinner time. Despite not having made any dinner reservations we were welcomed both days and served delicious pizza and salad. The restaurant was packed on Wednesday (the day the Tour rolled through town) and our host still made room for us. We are so very grateful for this!!! Our server was super despite our minimal ability to speak very bad French. Thank you to the owner and all the staff at the Patati & Patata for two excellent meals!
