I am surprised that such a beautiful and vast park is not better advertised; and just at a walking distance from Pau on Sundays for example. It's rather a 19th century mansion than an old Castle and I don't think it is visitable. Great view on the Pyrenees and the Gave valley down hill,beautiful trees and lots of opportunities for trail biking, and hiking farther on. We went last Sunday for a wine fest. To try the wine, we bought glasses advertising the vintners of the chateau. We enjoyed paella and an ice cream flavor called hay in English. It was all good. Close enough to be called the outskirts of the city and far enough to get in a good bike ride on the weekend it’s a must visit for families with kids .. it boasts of great views and a large green patch to picnic while the kids can run around Scott free .. a play park would be a nice addition but may take the charm away from this lovely chateau I reckon :) One of the best parks in the surroundings of Pau. Lots of walking roads for hiking in the vicinity. Beautiful place to visit. Great hiking. Lots of places to relax. Recomend! 👍❤️ Beautiful park nearby. Good parking.
