We went to the Sahara bar the day after we went to an overpriced, poorly maintained and overcrowded but highly rated on tripadvisor bar in Makri. The difference was so that we made the Sahara bar our choice for the rest of our stay. It's tidy, inexpensive, with sufficient food and drinks options that can accommodate an all-day stay at the beach. Its location to Alexandroupolis is perfect - just a 5 to 10 minute drive.
