We ended up using mostly the low gears and even those were poorly suited for upward inclines. Despite this we enjoyed the for our one week vacation and can give a positive recommendation. A really excellent tour of Visby. The were really easy to use with 3 gears and both hand and pedal brakes. Cycle helmets were provided too and the team made sure we all got fitted up comfortably. Bengt was a truly excellent guide for our trip round the walled city then out along the wide, clear cycle paths to the cliff top views and Princess Eugene's summer home. Bengt looked after us all and explained the city's history with warmth and humour. He also had great knowledge of the island's flora and fauna... and all in perfect English for us visitors. Thank you Bengt! It was great to continue to explore on the after the tour and then leave them at port, just dropping off the key in the secure box. We would highly recommend Visby by bike! The service is very complete, we got for example spare tubes and flat tire repair kit, which is a great idea on a longer trip (used it twice). When we lost a key, they immediately drove up with a replacement without extra costs. This level of service is unmatched! Easy to book, friendly people. Just great.
