We did not go in, however there are some steps to the side which ascend the hill behind, where you will be afforded a fabulous 9 star view of town. And the cruising ships at port! A nice peaceful place to self reflect on your thoughts. P.s if you walk upstairs next to this cathedral, it is a great place to see city view and stargaze at night within the city walls. There is no entry fee to this cathedral. Thus maintaining this building and its work costs 5.452 Swedish crowns (580 Euro) a day! This magnificent place can be freely accessed by everybody, therefore they rely on your generosity. Donation can be put under a small model of the cathedral. The other amazing thing are the pipe organs that they have, if you are lucky enough to hear them, it's a must to take a break and listen to the beautiful sound.
