If your accommodation is near the lake, the drive is tricky as you will be sharing the road with a lot of people. The lake area is very noisy until 10pm because of loud music. Mostly disco polo. The choice of beer in the restaurants is very limited. Mostly the mass produced stuff. Where do I start? I have visited this resort for past 35 years, it has changed slightly over time but perhaps not for the better. Still, its the best of that kind between Poznan and Konin. Plenty of shops, food joints, bars, even night clubs. Water levels have gone down significantly recently which hasn't helped Skorzecin to get my 5 stars, but the water is still clean and warm. Plenty to do here but with this come crowds and some idiots that could spoil the fun, definitely noisy and busy areas, not necessarily for those looking for peace and tranquility... Having said that, you could head to Lake Biale next door or hire a lodge at the edges in the woodlands and still have some quiet time if you so wished. Spokojna i piękna okolica.
