Beautiful around Lyth Hill. The route is clearly sign posted from the car parks. Lovely walk. Quite easy going. Stunning views. Only small car park but free. Good place for dog walkers. Nice with minimal effort as mostly flat. Easy to the top of the hill, then arguably the best of the Shropshire Hills. These pictures don't really do it justice. The all round are incredible. A fantastic place for walkers and alike. Watch where you tread though, not all dog owners are very considerate Great over the hill with a fantastic view over Shropshire, brilliant place for sunsets too. Lots of on and off lead Great place to your dog or watch the sun rise. Has been an inspiration for poetry, and you can see why. It's a field on a hill. With large open space for dog exercise. Access is very difficult narrow lane. With parking area for 20 cars. The view of South Shropshire is fantastic on a clear day. Beautiful walk, in an open area. Very popular with dog walkers. Most appear to be off the lead here. This is fine, given the open expanse , unless you are alergic to (as I am), as they see most people as friends and rush up to greet you. But there is plenty of room so this is a really minor problem. Great place to let your dog off to have a run, whilst you take in the scenery, and rid yourself of urban stress. No tickets, nor payment, required. Just rock up, park up, and go wandering. Great place to take the dog for a walk. Loads to see if you like nature. A wide variety of birds, even Red Kites, if you are lucky. Your will enjoy meeting other dogs. Very scenic and dog friendly. Despite the guides saying so the 'loop' is not very wheelchair/pushbuggy friendly. What an awesome view from this little gem of a place. Shame, no overnight staying 😪 wouldn't it be lovely to wake up to this lovely view. And we always take rubbish home, a little litter pick where ever we stay. What is it with councils, the UK has so much to learn from Europe 🇪🇺 🤔 our freedom and freedom of choice lol 😆 what a joke! We may as well be on TAG all our lives.. One of our favourite places, loads of dogs(walkers), and some gorgeous cows that work for the council apparently, to keep the shrubs down 😁 Great and good aalking Great of the Shropshire hills. The wrekin, the lawley, caer caradoc and long mynd. The main area by the carpark is flat, but keep walking and you'll get to a wooded area. There's also a nature reserve. For longer walks, some ares can be a little steep and rocky, so take walking boots. Definitely take wellies when it's wet. Lots of benches around to rest and take in the sites and sounds. Car Park holds about 10 or 15 cars. Lyth Hill is also a designated dark skies area for star gazing. Nice place to with Great for dog walking. Plenty of bins and parking. Best in shrewsbury. Even beautiful in a storm.
