Was only here a short while but with it's long drive way, immaculate lawns and building this is amazing.A lot of adventure and building is taught here with plenty of to help out. Excellent value three night stay, young people (group of Year six children) enjoyed it so much. It was for them to learn, develop their new skills and work as a team. Food was good, very and helpful - our leader was brilliant, she was very understanding and friendly. Would recommend to schools groups and large families and other groups. Go for the accommodation in the hall itself or rough it in tents, we certainly preferred the manor house! setup and fantastic staff. Such a variety of events on offer. A wonderfull full of a range of from a giant swing to a sensory trail around the woods. All the at Boreatton Park were a help and genuinely happy to work with us on our different activities. I get the feeling they have more fun than the visitors do! The food was as excellent as the first I went and had a range with suitable options for vegetarians and those with allergies. I can't wait to go back next year :) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We descended on PGL Boreatton Park for National Sporting with Round Table – 150 blokes from across the UK (and a few from Europe) turning up like some sort of stag do on steroids. I don’t think PGL knew what was about to hit them. The started with “raft building.” Translation: build something vaguely boat-shaped and then see who can sink everyone else. Area 6 created a Titanic 2.0 – totally unsinkable – and then gleefully sent the rest of us to a watery grave. Baywatch, it was not. 😂 From there, the chaos escalated: giant swing, zip line, beer pong (not sure that was in the official programme), wheelbarrow racing, tug of war, sack races… all powered by a hog roast and what can only be described as generous hydration. Evenings were spent in the bar – DJ blasting tunes, pool tables, shuffleboard – basically Butlins meets Glastonbury with fewer wellies and more beer bellies. Spirits were very, very high. Next morning, breakfast was a full English… minus eggs. An interesting choice. Who knew eggs were optional? 😂 Fueled by sausage and beans, we cracked on with rock climbing, archery, abseiling, football, dodgeball – all brilliantly run by the PGL team, who somehow kept smiling despite supervising 150 overgrown children. Saturday evening, we swapped rope swings for prison bars (literally) with an awards ceremony at Shrewsbury Prison, then unleashed ourselves on the town before stumbling back to PGL for the final round. Verdict: Absolute carnage, but the good kind. Memories made, friendships strengthened, livers tested. Hats off to the PGL crew for surviving us – you deserve a medal (and probably a lie down). 10/10 would recommend… though maybe don’t check the state of your rafts. 😂 Went here on a year 6 residential trip. Shop had value, canteen food, and the lodges had comfy beds, showers, toilets and sinks. Our groupie, Tina, was kind, caring and always made sure everything was OK. Which it always was. Best ever. Would come again. enjoyed my here very much, made lots of friends and everyone was super nice and kind. the instructors where very knowledgeable and very helpful and the are lovely. are very fun but sometimes can get slightly boring , meals are pretty decent and offer a choice of sandwiches and pasta if you dont like any foods one suggestion: clocks in rooms - its very hard to have a concept of here as there are literally no clock. being told “out in 5 minutes” is hard because we have no way of telling how long 5 minutes is! luckily i brought my apple watch definitely recommend Looked cool I returned home from this resort today and I missed the fun I had. Rooms: I slept in the mansion house Good: Large and small rooms Clean Comfortable Bad: Really hot in the room No toilet in the room Little bit old Site: Big site with a range of and facilities, lots of wild life, fields and forests Food: Staff are friendly Flavoured water for hydration Salad bar for lunch and dinner Cereal for breakfast Food is nice Water refill station: Water taste weird, reminds me of London Shop: Sweets and drinks are expensive but I like the calculator in store for kids. The whole thing is amazing, the are very and helpful.the are great. My son is going there soon and I went to check it out and it is so interesting and fun and I think the boys and girls will love it xxx I had an experience here! We went with school and there were so many and the food was compared to other places I've been to. I am gluten free and they catered very well for allergies and intolerances and I had plenty to eat. There is even a cute shop where you can buy sweets and merch. We stayed in the main house and I slept with a large group of twelve. It was very nice and the bathrooms were clean and you get a lot of privacy. The were super and were friendly. Even as a year 9 there was plenty for us to try. I enjoyed trying new things and racing my friends to the top of Jacob's ladder! I just got back from a school trip there and all of us that went had a time. Thank you to all the instructors: Skye, Oli, Luke, Jacob, Finn, Michael, Hannah, Dan, Dylan and the Australian lady from New South Wales (sorry I forgot your name). I enjoyed meeting you all and had a brilliant weekend. Visited for the with approx 160 adult males as part of Round Table GB&I's National Sporting Weekend. From arrival to departure, the couldn't do enough for us to make the amazing. Considering we were a very different crowd to their usual groups, they adapted brilliantly and helped make an incredible weekend. Loz, Ryan, Chelsea and Grace in particular as the group leads stood out. Highly recommended! My kid had a here. He said food was great. Our camp was from August 11 to 15. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warmth by the staff. Everything's organized and well sorted. A big shout out to our leader Luke, who is and funny, according to my kid. Thank you PGL team. Not been there yet but I'm pessimistic I really liked it! Our instructors were really kind, and very friendly. The people who helped us with the abseiling, fencing, big swing, etc, were very sweet. I went for four days with my school. The food is also great, I love the options! This place is terrible and wouldn’t go again if they paid me! Majority of the were: rude, disrespectful and sarcastic. People were forced to go on they were afraid of and didn’t want to go on and one of the worst parts was the wasp infestation, they were in our rooms, in our food you couldn’t even walk outside without seeing one. I got asked where I was going just as much as I nearly got stung. On the second day I stayed there, me and my were out doing challenges and the followed us around saying we needed a green lanyard (shows your over 18) they wouldn’t leave us alone, we were only two minutes from our accommodation. There are everywhere constantly asking where you are going, it was super annoying. When we had our meetings they were lurking in the corner. It was as if we were in prison, we wasn’t allowed to go to the shop without an adult, they even tried saying we had to have an adult with us to walk back from food! The rooms are very small for how many people sleep in there, one of my friends had six people in their room and there was only five beds, they didn’t even give them a new room, just chucked a mattress in. To shower you have to hold down a button, it’s very inconvenient and especially when you’re washing your hair. The food wasn’t great, the salad bar was nice but the main meals were not and the portions very small. One of my friends went on the giant swing and the fail safe attachment malfunctioned twice, dropping them when they were still on their way up, the supervisor said that it hadn’t happened before and just carried on using it. They didn’t let me and my friends wear crocs to breakfast (which was at 7:15) and it wasn’t as if we were going straight to our activities. It does even deserve the one star.
