Small bar with plenty of Dundulis beers on tap. We managed to squeeze in and got a small table, the music playing was rock / old school metal type which wasn't too loud and enhanced the atmosphere. Barman didn't say much but I don't speak much Lithuanian! It's a place for with beers, but if you can get in here I'd definitely recommend it, the atmosphere is good and it's a world away from the bars in the centre of the city. On a hill in Uzupis so it gets a steady stream of visitors walking past, some some tourists. A cozy bar with a wide range of drinks to chose from, I went with a light lager beer. We had a drink of their Grimbergen sitting outside infront pf the angel statue of Uzupiz and it was one of our great experiences. The 🍺 was amazingly tasty as it’s dark. The outdoor dining area gives a chilly view and vibes. The chairs were swings that we enjoyed sitting on them.😅 We did not try the or anything because after my husband started his question to the bartender in Russian - the bartender responded to him in Ukrainian “Glory to the Ukraine” and proceeded to work on rolling up his cigarette staring right at him. So we left. Not to get too political but this guy who is obviously not who had been welcomed by this country instead of protecting his own, has made another non-local feel very unwelcome. Not generally representative of Lithuania and our experience here as a whole. The term hole in the wall comes to mind at this place but it's absolutely fantastic. You feel a bit out of place as a tourist because it is full of but nevertheless it's a friendly warm feel and the is fantastic. We tried out a couple of different pale ales/ipas in here all from Lithuania and all were fantastic. Would definitely recommend popping by if you're in uzupis. It is all about vibe on Uzupis. If you want just to drink and talk with no better place to find. Killer Lil place. Great for first of the day at 5pm. This is a special place I really love to visit. I was visiting it years ago and also always when it was possible in the time of my last visit of Vilnius. Staff is really friendly, I always felt there as between friends. We tried every kind of beer. So, enjoy it! Wonderful bar in the bohemian district Užupis. What Špunka lacks in size it more than make up in great atmosphere and authenticity of the clientele which is a mix of and tourists. Mostly Dundulis beers. Good enough but not majorly exciting. Friendly staff and good prices. The do have a fridge full of special bottles and cans but again mostly Dundulis. Overall a very pleasant experience. Great beer, even better atmosphere! I wish I had a pub like this in the neighbourhood of my hometown. And I loved their Humulupu … what a cool name and I appreciate the botanical reference. Disappointing experience. I visited this well-known multitap expecting good and decent service. Instead, I was completely ignored by the staff, who were conducting some sort of training session (I guess) right at the bar. No greeting, no explanation, no sign that they even noticed customers were waiting. I asked if I could interrupt, and they seemed confused. Only after I explicitly asked if we could order did someone respond – with a disinterested “just a moment” – and then continued chatting with themselves as if we weren’t even there. I completely understand that staff training is necessary, but it should never come at the expense of basic hospitality. I'm not a demanding person, a short, friendly explanation would have been enough. Instead, it felt like customers were a nuisance. Good doesn't excuse poor attitude.
