Stunning hidden gem of a place. We stopped by on a rainy day but I can imagine that when the sun is out this is the perfect place to picnic or set up a BBQ. There are toilets on site as well. I found it clean which shows visitors clean up after themselves. Not suitable for dogs drinking or swimming in water due to very toxic brown algae. Beautiful spot! Clearly a busy river port for transportation of raw materials back in the industrial days of the Shannon. You can stay with tents Beautiful historic harbour but Mind the rocks !
