Incredible value at 60e. The food was all top class. The was great & friendly. The interior is small with limited seating (I think 25-30 seats) with a lovely ambience. There's room for bigger groups but seems to work well for 2-6 sizes. The attention-to-detail is excellent from food to style to service. There's plenty of free street parking outside. The restaurant is a bit in the middle of nowhere so driving or a taxi (or cycling) would be the more appropriate forms of getting to this gem. I'd love to go back if I'm ever in Leitrim/Roscommon again. This is a must for any visitor to the area. There are not enough stars in the universe to come close to reflecting the absolutly amazing at The Cottage. From the moment myself and my friend entered the building we were greeted like old friends and made feel welcome , relaxed and attended to. The customer is out of the world and the owners and staff are so courteous and obliging. My friend had a few dietary restrictions which were not a problem as they were seamlessly catered for. The 3 course lunch is a bargain at €40 a head, it's not just food for that price it's a gastronomical and with a great selection. Fresh and tasty food was served with warmth and care. The dessert trolly was the cherry on the cake, the whole process of that is a huge selling point. I had cheesecake and a selection of cheeses with crackers and grapes. While my friend could sample all the gluten free options. We both travelled almost two hours to get there, meeting half way and we would go another two hours again. Fantastic food and fantastic service. 3 course meal for €40, kids meals are €20. This includes a large and varied dessert menu. Staff were very attentive all throughout. Lovely atmosphere and lovely location. I would highly recommed a visit for anyone looking for a lovely experience. Advisable to pre book. Plenty of on street parking. They accept card and cash. An absolute gem which was recommended by a work colleague. We booked a couple of weeks in advance for their tasting menu. We had a vegetarian and a gluten intolerant in our group which the chef was able to prepare separate dishes for them and tie them in with the theme of the tasting menu. The food was fantastic and the was second to none I highly recommend booking here for a evening meal if you enjoy fine and are spending a weekend in Carrick on Shannon Gorgeous - staff were so friendly and fun. Tasting is out of this world. Definitely one for a treat! Enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch here at the weekend for our family celebrating our Dad's birthday. We had about 6 adults and 8 kids and the was excellent along with the quality of food. Great and the kids dishes were some of the best we've seen. The dessert trolley was a great highlight for both adults and children alike and the staff couldn't be more accommodating for our large group. We couldn't recommend the cottage restaurant enough for family gatherings, food and customer service. All agreed we will definitley be back for Sunday lunch.
