Tai 6 kilometrų žiedinis maršrutas, esantis vos keliolika kilometrų nuo Vilniaus, nors mums šiek tiek nutolęs nuo Kauno, bet įžengus į jį, pasijutau lyg patekus į seną kaimelį – lėtą, tylų, kupiną paslapčių. Žmonių sutikom, bene 2 . 🙂 Kelias veda per senąsias girias, laukinius pievų takus ir net pelkę, kurioje slepiasi lietuviškos orchidėjos – augalai, kurie savo subtiliu grožiu lenkia net egzotiškiausias gėles, bet geriausiai čia tas vaizdas orchidėjų, pasimatys birželio-liepos mėnesiais. Keliaudama taku sutinki ne tik medinius arkliukus – tarsi atėjusius iš seno kaimo vaikystės prisiminimų – bet ir stendus, kurie pasakoja ne tik faktus, bet ir leidžia pajusti, kokia buvo gyvybė čia prieš tūkstančius metų. Vienas įspūdingiausių taškų – Naujosios Rėvos piliakalnis. Užlipę ten pamatysite, kaip atsiveria ne tik plati Neries panorama, bet ir jausmas, kad po kojomis – istorija. O jei dar sustosite prie mitologinių šaltinių, kur kadaise, galbūt, aukos buvo pilamos dievams – pasidaro aišku, kad šis turi kažką daugiau nei tik gražų vaizdą. Šilėnų tinka ir ramiam šeimos pasivaikščiojimui, ir norintiems pabėgti nuo miesto triukšmo – jame nėra šurmulio, tik vėjo šnabždesys medžiuose ir paukščių giesmės. Pros: great logistics (not far from Vilnius, good road), very clean, norther part of hike near river is picturesque. Cons: all in all it takes 2h and 8km for adult starting from parking lot, which is 1km far from the beginning, until finishing in the same spot. Thus, hiking with kids can be too long for them. Returning part is a dusty village road, nothing to see. A truly nature gem which is just a 20min ride away from Vilnius center. There is a scenic forest with a view to the river. Yra įkalnių, nuokalnių ir piliakalnio dalyje nemažai laiptų. Kelios parkingo aikštelės - Šilėnuose prie bažnyčios, neprivažiavus Šilėnus ir kitas miške, maždaug tako pusiaukelėje, jei starto vieta Šilėnai. Vertas dėmesio takas! Gražios vietovės, gražūs vaizdai iš aukštai į upę, labai jaukus, tvarkingas Šilėnų kaimelis. Rekomenduoju visiems praeiti šį taką.
