Even a here in the rain is an impressive experience. One of the most delightful and engaging ciry centres in our trip to France. Pezenas is a cultural, artistic, and creative centre, with historic buildings everywhere you look. Tea shops, cafes, restaraunts and ice cream abound. You won't go short of cultural or gastronomic treats. Best idea is to park outside the city and walk in. Plenty of parking is available on the outskirts with a 10 minute walk to the city centre. Lots of narrow cobble streets with to visit.lots of antique places on the outskirts. Our favourite place to when staying with my parents. Lots of free parking and a market on Saturday morning.. The well-preserved medieval city (most of today’s buildings are factually 16th century and younger) with its cosy narrow streets offer its visitors various artisan shops, where true artistry is still to be found (and at reasonable prices to be fair). In terms of bars/restaurants there seems to be a dominance of ice cream and pancakes, but on the whole definitely worth a visit! What a place. Some lovely shops. Great character. Loved it. Quite busy so parking was a bit awkward. At this time of year you can enjoy the historic center of town without having to compete with too many other people.
