Visited as a family with 2 small kids - we had a nice enough time but it was pretty busy with teens and young adults jumping into the water. Around the water is stones so not as nice to sit on. Some shallow areas to paddle for the little ones but overall would recommend Castelo Novo above this place to spend the day as a family. Carpark had lots of space but narrow access. There was also a cafe but we didn't use this.
