Priest was very nice and relaxed.in England they are a bit more strict, no noise and not always friendly so it sort of put me off but well done to you st conleths in Ireland.i am investigating what the churches are like in portlaoise as I will be staying there from time to time and would like to go to there.people in portlaoise are lovely and welcoming. Nice place. Great air-conditioning. They only support a single religion though, so that's a bit of a limitation. I wonder if they could replace the regular Holy Water with Holy Hand Sanitizer for the time being (Covid etc). Its a very prity if you like old church's other than that its just another small irish town if you've seen 1 you have seen them all Beautiful church, unfortunately I was there for a funeral,the priest was excellent and gave a great service Beautiful church. My parents were married there after WW 2 So glad ot has been well maintained and still in use (2022) The nicest in the country.
