There is a fireplace inside, perfect after hiking in the cold :) Smithwick's Red Ale for EUR 5. Step into the charm of this quaint old pub, where history meets a unique atmosphere. Indulge in the warmth of cheap drinks and savor the delight of delicious chips, perfect for post-long walk rejuvenation. The Guinness here is consistently excellent, ensuring a delightful experience every time. A true gem worth exploring. Great place for a perfect Guinness after a hike up The Lug Absolutely filthy, the bar lady needs lessons on how to pour Guinness 0.0, she placed the top of the can into the pint of Guinness, the outside of the can should never touch the Guinness, there is no pride in there work. food unreal great portion great staff and friendly environment Fenton's was a well frequented establishment in the Glen of Imal when I was a soldier many years ago. Myself and some very good friends, old comrades/army veterans recently had a reunion in the Glen. And the trip would not have been the same without a visit to Fenton's. It was wonderful to see that it was still the same as it was all those years ago ... And we all had a great time there. A pub with character that rests at foothill of most scenic parts of Wicklow. Access from pub to Lugnaquilla. Great atmosphere. Local pub and always a big welcome for everyone. A place not to be missed when out touring. Also gets alot hill walkers on weekends. Great pint of Guinness.. Does not serve food Fantastic place right in the heart of Wicklow national park with its own character. Place has a long history. Charming and warming. Excellent place to settle in for a beer after a pleasant mountain hike. You won't find a more typical country Irish pub. Great craic, fantastic pints. Thursday night Irish music sessions goes off! Was hesitant to write this as it could have been just an "off day", but came off Lug last week, dying for a drink, gorgeous sun. Bar packed with locals inside, hikers outside. Stood for 15 minutes - noone behind the bar so much as looked at ne. They served everyone around me, totally ignored me. Now, a fair few foreign tourists were asking for "a glass of water " which probably pissed them.off, but I just couldn't get served. So I left.
