Such a lovely and underrated hut! I will never forget melancholic sounds of cow bells ringing into the night. It was hauntingly beautiful. I recommend you stay for the night and order a breakfast the next day. The rooms are very much hut-like but cosy and the bathrooms are clean. The staff is very nice and you will be treated well. :) This is a stop on the way to Krn mountain, also approachable by a tourist bus. It was really and the owners were really kind . Food was and Not expensive at all Strongly recommended Can't say anything for the rooms since we stayed 20min away from there, but went there twice to eat and it was lovely. Traditional food, beer, and you should absolutely try the "Kobariški štruklji", so good. The people were super nice, toilets very clean, paid by credit card both times. They do not have cheese, even though all guides say they do, and even some of the other reviews. They had practically nothing to eat at 2pm, only some struklji. The only thing about this place is that you can buy beer. My girl and I ordered a with milk. The owner didn't know how to use an ancient machine, which was dirty, I watched this caricature of a man make the there and it was awful. They didn't even pour the milk in the coffee, they instead put the bottle on the counter and made us do it. When we finally sat to have we saw that it was full of white solid particles, probably from the bad milk they given us, i took a sip and left the there as it was too bad. The irony is that the place is full of cows. They also have on the display on the counter they accept all cards, but that is false, only cash.. they should probably close the place as the owners are some of the most unusual (funny and not in a good) people ever, like cartoon characters. Had to edit the review as it was maybe offensive? I dont know, didnt write anything weird. This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip as far as accommodation. I was with a group on the Travel Place Walk of Peace Hiking tour and we spent one night here on the 18th September I loved the location, the sounds of cow bells through the night. The rooms were very comfortable and the ladies who hosted us were really lovely. The food was great, the atmosphere really friendly. A really insight into Slovenian mountain life. This hut is located in a truly beautiful setting - surrounded by stunning mountains! We stayed for few nights and really enjoyed the experience. The room was very small, but comfortable (our room had a private bathroom, the dorms don’t have any, but even the shared bathrooms are very clean). Overall the hut has very homely and cosy atmosphere. Booking a room was a bit confusing, as with most Slovenian mountain huts there is very little information available and you are never quite sure what you are getting. I emailed the hut directly and booked that way, which was easy enough. The hut is a great base for hiking nearby and for exploring the Triglav park in general. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the best food in Slovenia – insanely Frika and heavenly Kobarški štruklji, pure mountain magic! MUST TRY! Stopped here for a quick lunch on our hike and the vegetable soup was delicious! The ladies there were the sweetest, and the view was incredible.
