Had a wonderful day out with my niece! All very clean. Free parking. From Reception to the cleaning lady in the changing rooms, to the lifeguards at the pool were all super friendly and very helpful. Only thing there’s no cafe or restaurant but was lovely regardless. Good gym, friendly staff. Marred by the 12 year olds that fill the equipment and don't do anything, whilst leaving the changing benches covered with their gym bags. The reception and pool changing areas are always clean. Toilets for ladies are and functioning. There are communal poolside showers. The are always polite and very helpful. I have no knowledge of the gym or other facilities, however I do know swimmers can go through to the gym section to use cubicle showers if they prefer. The lessons have been great, however after my daughter had to be rescued during a lesson I have been traumatised by the lack of care from some management staff. Beyond the pool there has been no thought of my child’s well-being and I and my child have been treated with hostility by a member of after a very traumatic event. I hope no one has to deal with Ryan in management. And I hope that SDC can put in some training for their on how to deal with traumatic events, both personally and with customers. If you can get lessons with Deb she is wonderful and in my mind one of the best members of they have. Libby and Emily have also been great teachers in classes. Took my daughter to the accessible swimming session, great staff, facilities, we will be back. Changing rooms were far too small! Only a handful of family ones that weren’t even that big! As a mum with two children I had to put my 7 yr old in one next to me and have my 4 year old squished in with me. Pool was very cold ..Not ideal but were very friendly :) oh and not enough big lockers ! I would definitely say it’s not designed with families in mind! We love coming to Dursley pool (Travel from Gloucester.) The pool activities in the school holidays are brilliant. Exterminator is one off our favourite ones. All and friendly and approachable. Nice and changing rooms. Awful place,you can do everything apart from swim in there,pack you in like sardines in a tin then your on a time restraint.It use to be good many years ago but sadly over time public swimming has been reduced and reduced to what is today practically non existent.My advice stay away. Very convienient location and generally very clean. During a recent lesson an incident happened to my daughter, luckily the lifeguard was on hand but the customer service after said incident was appauling and left us not wanting to go back. Have to say the 2 instructors were amazing today , my little boy was scared of going the deep end , really upset , but they managed to gently ease him into the middle then after a little while got him into the deep end swimming on his own , thank you so much Went to a respiration class for about 3 month with a great instructor called Sherri. She is a very happy person and very good at her job. Unfortunately have tennis elbow so haven't been able to go back yet. However last week l booked up and paid for an exercise bike class . 2 days later l had to cancel due to covid. Rang up a few times to cancel but nobody picked up. When l finally spoke to someone they said l couldn't have my money back because I'd left it too late to cancel. NOT HAPPY!
