There is a story about a Norwegian king. change of religion It actually happened here. It's a one day trip. It's really fun to walk around and watch until the end....☺️ Great venue, good use of the nature and seats all have a good view of the action Can only recommend a visit to one of the oldest churches in Norway. We had a very kind guide who was well spoken and made the tour so interesting 😊 After our visit, we took a short walk up the hill for a nice viewpoint. Beautiful location. It was closed when I was there but it was still beautiful when peering in. Very nice place to visit and see I visited this interesting historical place during a workconvention concerning art and nature. The place offers a lot of diversity and possibilities: ofcourse there is the open air theatre, but also the old church, the mining tunnels, a cozy reataurant ( wich served very tasteful traditional foods) and the beautiful natural surroundings with stunning views! There were also 2 interesting historical exhibitions on show when I visited. Already enough reason to visit, but I specifically want to mention the warm welcome of the friendly hostess, who went out of her way to make my visit a succes!
