Nice place to go with easy waking around I visited this place in winter and spend a couple of hours there. It’s quite Silent, peaceful and safe. Lots of snow and frozen paths guided me to the Highlight… the Saula! Easy to find, stunning Color and so inviting to jump in. Enough parking lots at the street and only aces sable by car. It’s a nice half day trip to go, close to Tallinn 30 min away Not exactly a must though the ponds / springs are nice. An amazing place with beautiful nature and deep spiritual meaning. In the middle of the forest, subterranean sources give birth to the Pirita River. This creation is visible through the displacement of clouds of fine clay sediments in the cold, clear water. As it is a sacred place, it is advisable to follow special rules of behavior - be respectful, while present some small offering of gratitude to the Spirits doesn't hurt😉 Beautiful! A perfect short hike with a doggo! Around 10 min going to walk to the lake with the blue springs. For getting there you have to leave the highway and take the side road, has a spacious parking lot. A nice 20-30 walk from the parking lot just out of the highway. In winter with snow has a magic atmosphere, during spring or summer unfortunately the whole park is not very well curated so it's a nice walk in the nature with three or four natural spring water lakes. Pros: easy walk also for kids or pets, stunning nature, there is a tavern I'd you want to eat something. Cons: not really curated, can be very slippery with ice or super muddy with rain. BOTTOM LINE : beautiful and peaceful walk in the woods to tranquil BLUE springs. PRO : close to Tallinn, and an easy hike. weekdays are very quiet, with very few people. springs are very, very pretty. CON : I wish there were more. Lovely place, but needs a bit more attention from the government to make it tidy and safe. Plenty of rubbish and fallen trees, at some point is not very safe as you can easily slip down the hill and break your neck or end up in the water )) It’s prettier in the winter for sure. Blue just pops out magically. The trail was extremely slippery and icy today, nice workout for all muscles.
