During our hike an elderly couple came out to talk and between our Spanish, broken Portuguese and our broken German (they are Portuguese but lived in Germany for 25 years) we struck a conversation. They invited us and we accepted port and cake. They were wonderful people and these experiences you can’t reserve on Expedia so it was a special time for us. The hike is worth it.
