Easily the best staff I have ever experienced who were happy to give a round of hugs upon departure. I could go back just for them! The Chef’s table and Greenhouse dinners were exceptional as this Chef has Michelin Star written all over him, go Chef Miguel! The wine pairings were spot on as well. The owners are delightful, the activities are perfect. I highly recommend their winery choices of local, small scale producers. Just do it! As someone who has stayed in multiple 5 star hotels around the world, nothing has compared to the service and beauty of this hotel. The staff are warm, welcoming, and go above and beyond for each guest. The property is absolutely stunning -- you feel like you are frozen in time in one of the most beautiful places on earth. We cannot wait to visit in the future. This is a beautiful quaint farmhouse at the beginning of the duoro valley! The staff there is the most welcoming and accommodating group! Everyone person was attentive and kind! Tgetting to know them was a highlight! Chef Miguel’s table side dining experience was 10/10. The wine pairings were a perfect way to sample their lovely assortment of rose, red, whites and ports. Breakfasts/lunches were all delicious and fresh. Hiking through the vineyards with breathtaking views of the valley surround you! This really is a gem of a place! I grew up working in the hospitality business, and I can say with confidence that what Diago and Marcella have created here is a masterpiece. The property and surrounding landscape is breathtaking. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The restaurant is INCREDIBLE, I had some of the best food I’ve had in my entire life. The wines were amazing too and we had an unforgettable tour/tasting with the wine maker. Most importantly though, the service was the best I’ve ever had. The people working here are truly amazing and I’m so grateful to all of them (especially Renata!) for making our honeymoon so special. I’ve traveled quite a bit in my life, and this place is hands down my favorite. We’ll definitely be back one day!
