They only had the menu in Portuguese and the waitress only knew a few words of English. However, she and the chef were fantastic! The food was as delicious as promised and the service was great. It was an amazing find!! We had the place to ourselves for a late lunch. Views are amazing and the place itself is beautiful inside with decor. It was one of the cheaper meals we had in Portugal even though we had three appetizers and a dessert. The steak was cooked more than I would have preferred, but that's on me for not telling them how I wanted it cooked. It still tasted great. The little cheese platter for three euros is a must. Side note, the waitress was a tiny older woman who was extremely pleasant and even though she didn't speak English, we didn't have a problem communicating with her. Delicious! Needs reservation. We had to wait for an hour without booking and it worth it. Their meat is heaven. Portions are huge so keep it in mind and don’t ask too many starters. There was only one waiter speaking Spanish, others only speak Portuguese. Don’t know if anyone speaks English. Highly recommend! We arrived late but they opened the restaurant specially for us and another couple. The staff was really friendly and attended us like family. Food was and price not expensive at all. Only 3 tables occupied (Wednesday evening in August) and all spread out so no atmosphere at all! All fish was off the menu. However, the steak, sirloin especially was very tasty. We arrived here quite late and the main restaurant was closed. However a smaller lunch-room like part was still open. There was a rather shy girl who did only speak Portugese. Still we could take place. An elderly lady took over, a farmer brought in fresh tomatoes, and we were served the most delicious food. We had a evening. My family came in as native English-speakers and got service and food. The waiters and owner don’t speak a bit of English but that did not stop us from having an amazing dinner.
