The restaurant Erpel, which means drake in English, is beautifully located next to Türlerlake. The dishes are prepared with love and to perfection, everything was done to point. It is especially beautiful during sunny weather when you can sit outside and enjoy the green surroundings and the tranquility that comes with it. There's a parking lot which easily holds 40 cars, so there should always be a free lot. The staff is great, they are friendly, welcoming and pay attention to details. The Türlerlake itself, which is just 5mins away on foot, is beautiful as well, definitely worth a walk around after a delicious meal at Erpel. It’s in a nice location and most of the staff is very nice. However, the food is a bit and miss and this is why it’s hard to recommend. They really have a consistency problem. On busy days i had twice pizza that was barely edible, sometimes is really great though. Same with the service, had some really nice waiters and some rude and snarky ones. If you see the terrace really full on a busy day, rather do not have a meal. The food was very good and everything else too! It’s our favorite family restaurant! The service is personal and attentive and the crowd is a mixture of local patrons and folks who dare to venture out beyond the commercially driven spots in cities near Zurich and Zug.
