Nice for hiking and walking. The stunning landscape of stone and rock is dotted with the blue of the sky and sea. Unfortunately, the is also a document of the ugly part of our history that needs to be better marked and memorized. Namely, above Slana Bay are the remains of the Ustasha concentration camp in which a large number of Serbs, Jews, Croats and other civilians brought through Gospić, Velebit and Karlobag were tortured and killed. The is and definitely an experience worth doing if you're on Pag. The landscape is barren, but somehow it's kinda magical. The itself is Easy, but should be taken as Moderate (Hard if you go the full 20km), because of the strong winds, almost NO shade to hide if your hot, and if you go on the full it's a 4-7 hour adventure. There are absolutely beaches to be found along the (probably the most you'll find on Pag) which are well worth the 2-4 hours you'll need to get to them. Pack plenty of as the is completely removed from humanity and the nearest anything is hours away. Also toilet paper, do NOT forget toilet paper. Great to go. You can follow different paths and they are not very difficult. You will see many interesting places, bayes, gulfes and rocks. If you want you can jump into the at many places 😉 and try the water. Be aware that there are not shelters to hide. This is beautiful, yet a bit dangerous that i would not recommend to children and people who are not ready to walk a long distance over gravel and rocks. Most of the I couldn't run because rocks underneath are very shaky and surface is uneven, so I recommend wearing hiking boots instead of running shoes. The landscape you can expect is absolutely beautiful, surreal and interesting, one of the best I had in a lifetime, you will not forget this place. Good place for hiking, not difficult, but I would not recommend wearing flip flops. Views are amazing!!! You can also go swimming - there are beaches on the trail. We went there in the late afternoon so it wasn't too hot. Absolutely stunning and unique and landscape on the island of Pag, which really does live up to (and exceed) its otherworldly name and reputation! I visited in Sept 2024 and it was one of the best adventure days out I've had in a while. I headed out for the Life on Mars via ferrata route, which takes about 1hr to hike to, though the overall has many offshoots and can be done as part of a full/multi-day loop. Keep an eye out for the Hummingbird hawk moths that are in abundance around the scrubby flora alongside the and bring plenty of as there's almost no shade anywhere in the entire peninsula! This is a must see if you are on Pag island!!! Amazing sceneries. Bring water, sunglasses and most importantly normal shoes not flipflops. Otherwise you risk injuries on hard sharp rocks. There are 4 loop trails you can choose from. Or just take a walk …and enjoy 😊 It was an amazing experience of walking. Due to the absence of appropriate shoes for hiking, we've chosen the part of light "Life on Mars" trail. Nevertheless, the stunning views and the mesmerizing of the Adriatic sea were very impressive! hiking experience, in group of three we finished after 4 and half hour with single bottle of water, warm Coca-Cola and few sweets which felt like a fabric softener and flip-flops. It was spectacular way, really amazing views. Through 3 beaches, going up and down. Across the small pass, thistle field full of herds of sheeps and not small amount of spiders. It was really good hike, recomend to go it not in full sun and with at least two big bottles of (min. 1,5l). for allowing this review: I copied this review from my other account because I accidentally wrote it from different account Bring at least 1l per person if you plan to walk between 11 and 16 and wear shoes. Path is not clearly mapped, but is easily climbable and it took us around 35 minutes in one direction (from Ručica beach). Beritnica beach is beautiful, hidden, is clear and shallow. After 17 there is some shade from rocks, few people mostly passing by on boats. viewpoint and nature all around.
