The service is exemplary - lovely and personal (shout out to Μαίρη!🙌) - and they make killer coffees and the very best hot chocolate I have ever had. (It was more like a drinkable molten lava cake rather than the usual watered-down cocoa powder you typically find) To be honest, I haven't had food there - yet - but I can only expect that it would also be excellent, hence the 5-Stars for food. Situated on a street corner near other busy businesses and across from the bus station, it's super-conveniently located and prime for gathering with friends, people-watching, or just getting lost in your own daydream while enjoying the atmosphere and a beautifully prepared Americana. Half of the split-plan seating layout is dedicated to non-smoking patrons, while the other side allows smoking. They also offer outdoor seating complete. All it needs is an orange couch and you will think you stumbled onto the set of F•R•I•E•N•D•S. (Is that Jennifer Aniston over there?) 🤣 All in all, Illy Street Cafe is a gem in Katerini, away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Center, yet boasting an upbeat and cozy vibe where you can relax and enjoy.
