What an amazing park! It is huge, has a lot of trees and green, a big river that creates waterfalls and a big lake. The picturesque wooden bridges and the little train that takes you around the are amazing additions. There is also the church of St. Nikolaos, which makes it perfect for events like weddings. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby as well as football fields and even some horses for riding. Don't miss it! This is a pure diamond in the woods. Crystal clean water in green oasis with ducks and swans, wooden bridges, stone church and many roads to walk and enjoy the nature. A few taverns with traditional dishes and horse ride and the Sunday here will be one of the best family moments. A beautiful nature reserve with huge trees, a stream with flowing water, many panoramic corners in nature, experiential activities for the whole family including horseback riding, a train and of course some excellent taverns. Great place to spend some quality time, although very busy on holidays. Warmly recommended! υπεροχο μερος Great natural near Naoussa. Ideal destination for full day tour from Thessaloniki. Plenty of things to do, taverns for lunch, walking etc. Children friendly and safe location. Μοναδικό μέρος το Άλσος του Αγίου Νικολάου,μέρος χαλάρωσης και ηρεμίας... μπορείς να πας με φίλους ,με τα παιδιά, αλλά και με τα σκυλιά ,να πας για πικ νικ, να περπατήσεις μέσα στη φύση, δίπλα στο ποτάμι.Υπαρχουν επίσης καφετέριες, αλλά και ταβέρνες.Και το κυριότερο το μέρος το διατηρούν πεντακάθαρο!! Unique to Greece, the centuries-old plane tree grove impresses the visitor at all times for its splendor and volume. The today occupies an area of about 30 acres and is of great interest both in terms of aesthetics, functionality, and variety of vegetation. A nature paradise, just 3 km from Naousa and 100 km from Thessaloniki. It is a must visit for families with little children, but also for any other age. A peaceful scenery where you can walk, play or have a picnick by the river. Agios Nikolaos is also a starting point for some trekking paths to Vermio mountain. If you are looking for a cool walk during summer or a place for the kids to run, surrounded by little rivers and fresh water. Saint Nicholas is a beautiful forest at the foot of Mount Vermion just five minutes away from the heroic city of Naoussa. The part close to the river Arapitsa has been designed like a with foot paths fir long strolls along the shore and further in with playgrounds for children. One of the footpaths leads to the springs of the river with gushing waters and lots of little waterfalls. Another takes you all around the park. The ancient church of Saint Nicholas is the main attraction. In the summer lot's of romantic weddings and babthism take place here. Nearby is a lake with swans, ducks and doves. In the summer visitors can fish trout in the lake. There are also lot's of training opportunitiesin this location. Four tennis courts and two beach volleyball courts host sports events all year around. Cafés and traditional restaurants with local specialities like freshly prepared trout complete the picture and make a day out in the wild worth it. Simply magical - fortunately, we were there at a time when nobody else was. So quiet, serene and picturesque… Beautiful place, with large trees. This time was not fully crowded, and therefore more enjoyable for me. There are a lot of taverns and cafes in the and a pod with ducks and trouts. In one of my visits, I noticed a wedding was gltaking place in Agios Nikolaos church in the park. BTW, trouts are also served in the taverns.
