Great place, easy to hire, really friendly staff, showers and toilets. Super cheap too and safe enclosed water with a wee beach. Recommend We only looked at this activity centre and it seemed really good.Kids learning paddle boarding and having great fun.There is kayaking and cycling also. There is a nice cafe which serves hot food up until 3pm and coffee and cakes till 5. Really lovely scenery and pleasant friendly staff. Lovely little gem tucked away under friarton bridge. Thai green curry on special went down a treat with hubby & fish fingers sandwich was amazing too. Some lovely home baked cakes too. Definitely be back. Great place, very close if you want to try plenty of stuff, went before for paddle boarding and kayak this time went for sauna and dip loved it great combination I highly recommend the Taster Experience. I went with my 7-year-old son who had never fished before. Although I had some experience, I wanted him to learn from a professional. We wanted instruction on basic skills such as casting, tying knots, and using different types of bait. Our instructor, Charlie, was very attentive to my son and kindly answered all my questions during the two-hour session. We didn't have any gear, and Charlie was incredibly helpful in explaining what we needed to buy and where to get it. After the experience, my son is eager to go again. I am very grateful for the help in introducing my son to the world of fishing. The area is beautiful and pleasant. Before fishing, we had breakfast at the café right next to the spot, and we were surprised by the service and quality. We will definitely be coming back. Our instructors were Sam, and Sam. They are both awesome. They supported a group with learning disabilities throughout the day. They were patient, involved, and understanding of the limitations and abilities of all of us. Everybody had a fantastic day out and is looking forward to another one. Pond is barely stocked with fish. Did not see fish move entire day. No anglers present other my friends so sure locals are aware. In terms of would recommend avoiding. Went for an over 60s morning with my friend Jim, both of us had a fantastic time kayaking and paddle boarding. Rachel our instructor was excellent, very knowledgeable and informative. We finished off with a sauna and a little dip in the swimming part beside the little beach. 23rd September should be cold but what a brilliant sunny morning we had which helped us oldies enjoy it even more. I would highly recommend this facility to all age groups, and will hopefully be back for some more water based activities or try one of the other activities available. Thanks.
